Answers about the campus describe how the online campus is designed for the first cohort. What already runs in our studio is on the safety page.

Is it safe for my kid to be in an online room?

The room is closed: inside CHIP's rooms there are only kids and Chippers, and nobody else can enter. Every kid and every Chipper goes through an admission process with our psychology team before being accepted to study or work with CHIP. In the campus, kids talk only in marked talk zones with an adult Chipper present, there is no private chat, a filter blocks phone numbers, emails, links and addresses, and kids use CHIP's studio accounts. The campus rules describe how it is designed.

Is this live, or just recorded videos?

It is live. Chippers, our human mentors, are in the campus every afternoon and evening, Eastern Time (ET), and AI Chipper is there at any hour. Kids build missions, they do not just watch.

Who supervises the kids?

Chippers are trained adult mentors who follow the CHIP Chipper Guide. One is present in every talk zone. They ask and guide, and they do not do the work for the kid.

What ages is it for?

Ages 7 to 14. Kids have a study space by age: 7–9, 10–11 and 12–14. Age comes from the account, so nobody has to be asked.

What do we need to join?

A Mac or Windows computer with Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox. A microphone is needed for voice; text works too, and a kid who prefers typing can do the whole program in text.

Which languages does it work in?

The campus runs in English and Spanish, and AI Chipper works in any language. Tell us your preferred language in the waitlist form and we will plan around it.

What are the hours in my time zone?

Live Chippers are in the campus every afternoon and evening, Eastern Time (ET). Mornings are self-paced: kids study asynchronously with AI Chipper and Chip, with no live Chipper yet. A live morning shift is coming soon. AI Chipper is there at any hour.

Does the AI tutor just give answers?

No. AI Chipper asks the right questions and gives hints step by step. It is openly an AI, never pretends to be a person, and calls a human Chipper when needed.

Does my child need accounts on AI tools?

No. Kids work with CHIP's studio accounts, never their own accounts on AI tools. Parents give consent before a child joins.

What do I see as a parent?

Every week you get a written report from your kid's Chipper: what they built, where they got stuck and what is next. You can see everything they shipped, and the campus is designed to keep a record of what a kid does, so you can ask for the record.

What if my child gets stuck?

They raise a hand and a live Chipper comes to the help zone with a question. At any hour, AI Chipper gives hints, and calls a human Chipper when a kid needs a person.

Is it more screen time?

It is screen time spent making, not watching. Sessions run in short focused blocks with a talk circle and movement around the campus, and the books give kids a way to plan on paper.

Can it fit a homeschool day?

Yes, that is what Home Schooling is for. Hours are flexible, AI Chipper is there at any hour, and kids work through the 2026 curriculum of 17 subjects. Home education rules differ by state: Florida, for example, asks families for a portfolio of records and materials, and CHIP's shipped-work record and weekly reports help you build it. CHIP is not an accredited school today. This is not legal advice. See Home Schooling.

Do you teach school subjects?

Yes, in stages. The 2026 curriculum covers 17 subjects: Math, Science, English Language Arts, Spanish Language Arts, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Technology, Design, Art, Music, Financial Literacy, Social Studies, Ethics & Citizenship, Physical Education, Life Skills, Earth Science and Challenges. Missions open on the campus in stages, flagship missions first. See the curriculum.

How much does it cost?

We will share plans with waitlist families first. Join the waitlist and you will hear from us directly.

What are the books, and what do they cost?

The CHIP Path is three books by age (7–10, 10–12, 12–14). Each has nine booklets, one per step, sold as a 1-year pack of three booklets. Every booklet mission is the same one kids do in the app, reached by a QR code. The price is not set yet, and waitlist families hear first.

How do I join?

Fill in the waitlist form with your name, email, your kid's age and your country, and confirm you are the parent or guardian. We will write to you first when the first cohort opens.

What do you teach?

A project-based curriculum of nine steps across eight areas: code and games, music, images and stories, science, data and product, languages, thinking with AI, and movement. Kids build songs, games, stories, videos, apps and expeditions, and learn to direct AI, decide with judgment and finish what they start. See what your kid learns, area by area. The same missions are also organized in 17 school subjects: see the curriculum.

What will my kid be able to do after a quarter, a year and three years?

After the first term, the first patch: they make something that another kid uses. After a year, something that holds up and that someone at home uses. After two years, work that other people understand and use without them. After three years, leading a project and teaching a younger kid. These are the outcomes each step is built to unlock, not measured results. See the three-year timeline.

How is this different from screen time?

A kid does not watch: they decide, direct the AI, test, get unstuck through a question and finish something that someone else can use. Then they show it. Every mission ends in finished work, and you read it in the weekly report. See how kids learn at CHIP.

How is progress measured?

In After School there are no grades. A kid climbs by finishing real work and meeting the step's condition, such as “someone uses it without you beside them”. Where the step asks for it, an adult signs off with a written note. Chippers also note what they see against eight competencies, and you read it in the weekly report. In Home Schooling there is also a school-style record: each mission is rated Not yet, On the way, Achieved or Outstanding, and a “not yet” never counts against a kid. See how kids are evaluated.

Is it accredited?

Not today. CHIP does not issue credits or transcripts, and accreditation is in development. CHIP complements a school day, or works as a homeschool day, and the work kids ship builds a real portfolio.

What happens at night?

Live Chippers are in the campus every afternoon and evening, Eastern Time (ET). AI Chipper is designed to help with hints at any hour, but night hours are still being decided, and steps that need an adult are signed off in the live hours. Waitlist families will hear exactly how nights work before the first cohort.

Does my child need experience?

No. Missions start from where a kid is: a 10-year-old who never coded starts with blocks, and the first steps are built for beginners.

Why are ages split online?

In our studio, kids of different ages share a table of four. Online, one room cannot hold a 7-year-old and a 14-year-old well, so there are three study spaces: 7–9, 10–11 and 12–14.

We are a school. Can we work with CHIP?

Yes. CHIP offers schools a licence, a CHIP room and a teacher certification. Book a meeting and tell us about your school.
