Real tools.
Chosen and directed.
Kids learn to choose and direct the tools professionals use, open source and commercial, plus open data from sources like NASA and NOAA. The toolset is not fixed: it evolves as the world changes.

«In the toolbox» means the tool is ready in the platform, without a mission of its own yet.
Real data, with
its source.
No invented numbers. Every dataset comes from a public source, with who measured it and its license, and travels with the chart all the way to the poster.

How we choose
a tool.
Safe for kids
If it is not made for a room full of kids, it does not come in, however good it is.
Workshop accounts
Outside tools are opened with CHIP's account. A kid never signs up or uses their own email.
Open source when possible
Free can stop being free tomorrow. Open source cannot be taken away in the middle of a quarter.
Real professional use
The same tools and languages used at work, not toys built only for school.
A kid's work stays at CHIP
What a kid writes is never sent to a provider that trains on it. The open AI runs on their own computer.
Every outside tool is used with a workshop account. A kid never creates or uses an account of their own.
Let's talk
about your kid.
Request an interview. We will write to set it up, and your family goes first on the list for the first cohort.
