Families

You see the work.
Not just a promise.

How joining works, what you hear from us every week and how you can look at everything your kid made.

The weekly report

Every week,
in your inbox.

The weekly report is proven in our in-person studio. Families get it by email. It is written from real events, with an honest “not known yet” where there is no data.

Weekly reportSample, not a real child
Built

A story with a character and a voice.

In progress

A game with two levels.

Got stuck

The character left the screen. They got out of it with a hint, then alone.

Where they stand

Step 1, Chispa. One more person using their work to climb.

Leadership marks

Presented and explained. Helped someone.

Ask tonight

What was the hardest decision in your story?

For your child: A kid's private notes and mood never reach the report. Names of other kids appear only as a first name.

Parent visibility

You see the work,
not just a promise.

Nothing is hidden behind a screen. You hear from the person who works with your kid, and you can look at everything they made.

Chipper

Every week

A written report from your kid's Chipper.

  • What your kid built
  • Where they got stuck
  • What is next
  • Everything they shipped, in one place
Parent

Any time you ask

The campus is designed to keep a record of what a kid does.

  • You can see everything they shipped
  • You can ask for the record of what they did
  • Your kid works with studio accounts, never their own
The path, in your view

Where they stand.
What is missing.

You see the nine steps, where your kid is and what is still missing to climb. It is the same calculation the Chipper sees.

The record · A record of real work.

Everything they finished

Every finished work, with a date and a line from the Chipper.

The path

Which steps and patches, and when.

On request

The campus is designed to keep a record of what a kid does, and you can ask for it.

Your kid's profile and your permissions

Pet, who they dedicate works to, school, English level, coding experience, interests. A private note of things to look after never reaches the kid.

Three separate permissions.

To take part

Whether your kid joins the program.

Photos

Whether photos of their work can be taken.

Contact

Whether we may keep in touch about them.

Homeschool families

CHIP fits around your day. Live Chippers every day, missions that end in real work and a record you can show.

Florida's home education program asks families to keep a portfolio of records and materials and to complete an annual educational evaluation.CHIP's record of shipped work and weekly reports help you build that portfolio. This is not legal advice: check the rules that apply to your family.

Accreditation is in development, and CHIP does not issue credits or transcripts today. CHIP complements a school day, or works as a homeschool day, and the work kids ship builds a real portfolio. Home education rules differ by state. This is not legal advice: check the rules that apply to your family. See Home Schooling.

For your child: You get proof of real learning that you can put in front of anyone.

Let's talk
about your kid.

Request an interview. We will write to set it up, and your family goes first on the list for the first cohort.
